I know that for me, having two young daughters under the age of 5 and both of them having type 1 diabetes has caused me to focus more on my kids with little left over for my husband at the end of the day. This is something that I am working on, but it's nice to know that I am not the only one.

Thanks for sharing!conniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18365385305270234889noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8101028800995433163.post-31465974666994225482010-06-10T08:18:52.207-07:002010-06-10T08:18:52.207-07:00Babies are hard enough on their own...add diabetes...Babies are hard enough on their own...add diabetes into the mix and shazam! Not a good mix for a marraige. For years, I had to reassure my husband that it would not be like this forever. That I wouldn't constantly cry forever...that eventually we would spend quality time together. I'm not sure he fully believed me, but we have finally reached that place. He told me just the other day that I was right. I always knew without a shadow of a doubt...that if we just endured the chaos for the first 10 years of babies...and 3 diagnosis...that eventually things would become "normal." It wasn't easy...but it was oh so worth it!

Thanks for talking about what everyone thinks about. :)Merihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09752883120541646427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8101028800995433163.post-51506593945606802782010-06-10T06:08:09.239-07:002010-06-10T06:08:09.239-07:00Thanks for being so open and honest about somethin...Thanks for being so open and honest about something most people just want to sweep under the rug. Elise's dx has taken a big toll on our marriage too, but we're fighting through. Things are better now, but it's still hard. I'm a huge believer in counseling, and think EVERYONE can benefit from it.Joannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15030783893373288244noreply@blogger.com
